Does 5k even open anything up that doesn't require master's or specific quals or do I really just need master's to do more than john doe's or rekogs *when they're up and work*

i believe you need 5000 approved before you can take the OCMP5 qual, whenever they decide to post it again

It's probably still good to have and worth being proud of the accomplishment, but I'd say in my experience you won't find a ton of extra non-quallled stuff at 5k (or even 10k) regularly.

I think it lets you do the non-qual'ed Ibottas.

Gotta say that when I hit 5000 a month or so ago it made a big difference for me as far as surveys goes. It opened the door up that much more. Then I started seeing more denies for not having 10000 (not that many but I started noticing them). So for me it was a big accomplishment. Now I'm just three approves from 10,000 but I don't expect the same feeling of having a bit more available to me.

It was my wedding anniversary yesterday, went out to dinner. That part was good. But then we had to come home because the dog died. So, it wasn't a very good weekend.
