I found it weird they had dog pics when they're not a pet store site. I mean, I'm not complaining as they were cute, but still a little odd.

It's actually this trend that started with little "hidden" sections on the webpages for small startups. Employees would put up photos of stuff they were really into, or their dogs/cats/pets... or photos of their cubicles... or photos of their kids/family... weird random personal stuff like that.

That's not a goldfish that's a koi. In a big enough pond, a koi can grow to a couple of feet long and they can live more than 30 years.
