I'll give em a try once I have some money, I can't read it for free on kindle unlimited. :(
Awh, lemme see what I can find for free on kindle unlimited.
Also, for the book lovers.
Thriftbooks.com is where I get all my books as well, because at $10 they give you free shipping, and it's actually only 2-4 business days EVER. I love it a lot. The longest I've ever had to wait for books was over a weekend when I ordered, and I got 15 books for $40 at one point, and they have textbooks. Plus I get free 15% off coupons I can send to people whenever I want since I bought from them. They're used books, but they're excellent quality most of the time. I love them sooo much.

If you're into horror, or even if you're not, "Carrion Comfort" by Dan Simmons is fucking fantastic. Two horror mastere agree with me if you don't trust me alone. :p

"Epic in scale and scope but intimately disturbing, CARRION COMFORT spans the ages to rewrite history and tug at the very fabric of reality. A nightmarish chronicle of predator and prey that will shatter your world view forever. A true classic." --Guillermo del Toro

"CARRION COMFORT is one of the three greatest horror novels of the 20th century. Simple as that." --Stephen King

I love the Little House series, not even ashamed to admit that I still read kids books once in a while. I re-read Harry Potter this past winter and just got done with the Hunger Games. I have no idea what to read next. I think I fell into a book hole!
Same. I still have a book from 6th grade that I never gave back. (Sorry, Ms. Schleuter!)
I'd recommend All The Light We Cannot See. Best book I've read in a long time. Or History of the World in 100 Objects.

If I could throw a book into the lap of every person, it'd be The Two Princesses of Bamarre. Which I read starting at 12 and will never give up. YA is best.

Two of #1's birthday gifts:

He loves both of those dudes, I can't wait for them to get here- I might give them to him early! (His birthday is the 21st.)

ooooh a book thread
thinking of a re-read of asoiaf, currently reading Ready Player One (really fucking great so far, even if you aren't a gamer) and about to start The Girl on the Train

recently finished the Silo series by Hugh Howey (would recommend to any nerd out there who loves the fallout games) - available for free with kindle unlimited

#2 just came home from the library...
"Mother! I HAVE to show you something!"
- pulls that out of his bag

:D
...so.... I'm gonna...
Go into it with an open mind. There are a lot of things that made people upset, but overall I really enjoyed it. Don't take it as another Harry Potter book, just a work in the same universe.

Book one is fast, with little explanation. I didn't understand a LOT until I was reading through books 3-5, and I started over, catching onto a lot of stuff I originally never noticed

Looking back, it's like the first time through I was drunk sick and nothing made sense and I wondered why I kept on, but after I started to understand it, book one was genius
