What a week. Tinseltown is gone and (sorry) to say, but the one percenters are getting a taste of what many of us feel everyday only they are now feeling it 100 times worse. Do they deserve it? No. They actually do work hard to give us an escape plan. Now they need one of their own.
Friends of mine closed their business, fortunately not their main income, but a good business, at the holidays. Yesterday, they sent through an email about how supportive their clients are and stated they are only regrouping, as I already knew, and they did mention on their site, but you know us. We're human. We don't always pay a lot of attention. But they said again, they are regrouping and will be back in the spring. The human spirit doesn't die. It adjusts, accommodates and moves on.
Is there a part of this country, any part, that hasn't been touched by some sort of danger this past year? The hurricanes reaching deep into the east and the gulf, the L.A. fires, and the drought in the middle of the country that maybe many didn't really feel. But the animals did. Every day I carried water to the dying baby deer at the park that couldn't escape the fenced in area to get to the pond water. I went through pictures of the poor creature recently and just hoped she got what she needed.
As we attempt to comprehend everything that has happened through the past year, let's remember this:
