eww sounds like dsl. do they not have cable in the area? most places i've seen cable is the same or cheaper than dsl lol

It's AT&T Uverse, but not the super good one. They said it's sort of like DSL but it's not pure DSL. They're trying to get the permits to run the higher end cables in my neighborhood. Which cracked me up because I live in a rich neighborhood where folks happily pay for super fast internet, but we can't get it here yet from them.

I threatened to switch to a cable provider, so they offered me discounts to stay with them. But in talking to my neighbors the cable internet sucks here, too. I guess getting permits for this 'hood is not easy.

edit: I'm not rich. I just bought my house in this neighborhood when prices crashed. So I'm a poor girl masquerading as a rich one.

I just found out my kid plays Stardew Valley. That's the game a lot of you play, right?

He's been bugging me for WEEKS to play it. I have been tempted to download it and realized he already has it. No wonder he was loosing his shit when our internet wouldn't work all week.
