@rsmath We're going to be out there next week (I fly out Monday, w/daughter). We're not going to see the GC (ostensibly) - but I looked around online and everyone said go do it if you are close/have time. I'll bring my hiking shoes, in case we do a small hike? Honestly haven't planned it at all. The last time I was out there, it was hot and. It's all desert! I'm a snow person .

If you have any suggestions for the Canyon, happy to hear it! We'll go up early (I understand that if you get there early the line to get in isn't bad) and just be there the day/a few hours (whatever).

I don't have any suggestions, but didn't know you were still here. I went to the Old Lincoln Way garage sale, that's a garage sale that stretches as far as it can on that highway, and one place I stopped at had buttons, buttons, buttons. Bags of them like gallon ziplock for 10 - 20 dollars. don't know if that is high. but i remembered you are always looking for buttons.

Then I found two appeared unused, kitchenaide mixer attachments that I use for cookies for $4 for both. Those are expensive.
But the best deal was when I felt like I won the penny candy lottery - 500 restaurant wrapped straws for 5.00. it was a good day.

This story was making its rounds during the beginning of covid in 2020 when toiletries, hand sanitizers etc were of limited supply. The nerve of some people! Well I finally lost it!!!! I was just in Walgreens and saw a dude whose cart was FULL to the brim with hand sanitizers, baby wipes, soaps, everything that people need!! I called him selfish and gave him the low down about the elderly, moms, and people who need these types of things. Told him he should be ashamed of himself! He said: “Are you done yet?? Cause I really need to get back to restocking the shelves now!!
