i'll go with Sept 11, 2001 as being more country-changing. President and constitution remain intact since 1963. Many new security rules in aviation and other public events as well as new government organizations (like Homeland Security) were born due to Sept 11th.

Was quite windy today but no proactive power outages though they made need to do some tomorrow to effect repairs -

Yesterday, when I got up, today was supposed to be horrible with high winds, rain and snow all day so I rescheduled an eye exam - I could have kept it since the winds didn't start up until quite late and the rain/snow didn't pan out. Frustrating. Supposedly, all that rain and snow will arrive tonight. Where I am there hasn't been any snow yet this year.
