We are good right now I did wake up to no Facebook and started to head towards a bridge but then FB came back so I decided to stay.

Yeah.... not burning entire neighborhoods right now but they can't stop them. One of the smaller ones in Napa was 65% contained last night though so that is something. The winds are going to come in from the North today so that puts us in real danger for the first time. Has to jump a river though so idk, it has jumped highways pretty easy so a river could be done I guess.

I don't know if they are still done but Mexico used to do control fires not that long ago and they still might do them. We'd get air warnings in Houston because the Mexicans were burning their Opium, oops I mean veggie fields. The idea was that this got rid of much of the old stuff and gave good ground cover almost if not like top soil for the new crops that were coming. Getting rid of that old ground cover is what keeps forest fires from started is how I understood it and give the next crops good nutrition.

CalFire does control burns often. One of the biggest issues that is coming out in the open now is the removal of "fuel" from the forests etc etc that gets fought and blocked by the fucking environmentalists ffs
