Freddie is by far the most terrifying of the choices up there. The human slashers above you can at least defend yourself against; not so much with Freddie. Not only does he kill you, but he screws with your head psychologically; often leaving those that do survive scarred for life. He also kills in the most perverse or twisted ways he can possibly think of; even sometimes using his power to get you JUST to the brink of death and then letting you wake up.

He's un-killable though conventional means, strikes when and where he chooses and leaves those that survive terrified for the rest of their lives(however short they may be).

He's far more terrifying than the shitty d-lister slashers on that list.

I first watched The Exorcist with my best friend in high school while we were babysitting. Creepy, unfamiliar house with all kinds of sounds...

I'm glad the kids stayed asleep in their room the entire time, because if they needed something, they would have had to fend for themselves. We didn't leave the couch the entire night.

A friend got Silence of the Lambs (years ago!) and I spent most of the movie in the hallway or the bathroom (trying to not hear what was happening). But I kept coming back because I really, really wanted to see it over. It was SO importat. I wanted him to die and everyone to be safe forever after.

hah, i caught a lotta sheet from my ex cuz we were watching paranomal activity something in the theatre and i jumped and flailed my arms at some cheap jump scare, i still get kinda freaked out playing horror games on my samsung vr. i like pc scary games but vr takes it to the next level.

The only thing he has going for him is the surprise factor and mobility. He could certainly try to kill some of the other slashers, but as we have made very clear lore wise; Jason can take more bullets than Tupac and leatherface can get mcstabbed 3 dozenimes and be like "yeah...and?"
