I bought a pastrami sandwich from a Subway once. I noticed it smelled kinda strange as I was driving home. When I got home and opened it, I noticed the pastrami was literally completely black and had the most god awful smell. It was like the worst thing I had ever seen or smelled. Pure death. It took days for my kitchen to stop smelling like that. How anyone could make something like that and hand it off to a customer is so beyond me. That was like 12 years ago and I've never been to a Subway since.

Yuck! I worked at one in high school. They are all independently owned so it does vary greatly. Some owners just don't care.

Yeah, I know the chances of that happening again are pretty slim, but it's just something that pops into my mind every time I even think of Subway, so there's just no appeal. There are far better places to be buying sammiches from, anyway.
