One time we had a 5.0 earthquake, nothing too scary but the kind of shaking where you can see hanging pictures swing back and forth. I looked at my family for a sec, then ran and went to steady my aquarium so the water wouldn't slosh too much and spill out.

Earthquakes really make you discover your priorities.

Our power keeps going all wonky - like the lights are dimming, but not going out completely. And there's so much fog (we're up on a hill) that all I see is clouds and lightning out the window. I feel like I'm in that movie The Mist.
