They are the reason that prperty value has dropped on my street. My house's value dropped by $1000 last year because of their jack-assery and dead vehicle farm. According to assessments my 2,000 sq ft, 1 acre house and lot is worth $40,000 more than their 2,100 sq ft 2.5 acre house and land.

In the summer they literally dig a mud pit in the side yard to play in.

In my neighborhood you can't have a broken car in your driveway (no tag and the city can tow it). They technically can tow any nonworking car (after warnings and a hearing).

I don't know what area of the country you live in but having certain trees can raise your property value 50k. Figure out which ones do in your state and sign up with local nurseries and the zoo's for a free tree... Bam problem sorta solved if you are patient.

No, I live in a small farm town with less than 800 people in it. Technically the village has an ordinance against dead vehicles but it's hard for anyone to see them since my neighbors don't mow their lawn (which is also against the ordinance.)

Most hilarious story, though, two years ago this dude was on the volunteer fire department but didn't feel like getting a burning permit to have a backyard bonfire. So he tried hiding it from view by putting cardboard boxes and pallets in front of the fire. Long story short: He set his lawn on fire and had to call the fire department. It cost him his job with the fire department.

Everyone in town calls them Cletus and Brandine.
