there are people with 50k hits approved and masters.

there are people with 400k hits approved and have been on mturk for 4+ years and don't have it.

there is no reason behind who gets it and who doesn't. Just do your numbers when they come up, can't hurt if you're taking mturk seriously and you want masters sometime in your lifetime.

There are people who got it after a couple of months and less than 2k completed hits. It's a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.

I would say getting upset about them lessens over time. As you get more and more approved HITs under your belt, it gets a lot harder for a rejection to affect your approved percentage. It's why so many people in this community stress high numbers.
