Yeah, he just jumped ship when he stopped hitting his donation goals. I think someone familiar with the mturk community could have turned it around, and a lot of people tried to convince him of that. For whatever reason, though, he had this thing about not wanting to sell the forum to a turker. He insisted that a non-turker could run it just as well, if not better. It's pretty clear how well that worked out.

I don't remember him being a mod over there. I do remember him having multiple troll accounts over there after he left for his own site. Not sure why people do things like that honestly.
Well, the current owner, the Russian guy, wanted to use the community to market some product or service that he was trying to bring to the US. But the community bailed on him and went to TH. The guy that I was referring to was the one that sold it to him. After we split from MTG, Zingy sold the forum to a non-turker from Australia that was basically just using it to collect the donation money. He did not like us at all.
He was a mod briefly before MTG started. For like maybe a month or two, at most.
Interesting. They gave mod positions to a couple of really questionable people over there.
