i'll take a full time job over mturk 8 days of the week. i just can't find one. so I'd rather turk than go back to begging for hours at my minumum wage, part time job.

It probably depends on where you live. I know where I am jobs are everywhere but I also have some friends in other areas that can't find a thing, I keep telling them to move here but the won't bring me babies. No baby no room well except @Vanyanka

I'll shit on Mturk for days, but I admit it saved my bacon about a year ago. I'm starting to hit a ceiling with it in terms of profitability vs time spent - any more effort than I'm giving it currently would likely turn me into a recluse. Better to use that time to learn something that will help me in the long run instead of just raising my PE for a given week.

I think it also has to do with what your career is and how much training you have. I wanted to be a graphic designer, but I suck at graphic design (at least thats what the 1000 potential employers have told me)

I've failed at every career goal I've ever had except mturk/user testing. and I don't even think those count because I never "set out" to do them, I just kind of stumbled upon them.
