No insurance because I bought it unlocked through Straight Talk


Pretty sure I short-circuited the inside so I'm guessing cost to repair is going to suck.


Think I might just get the Nexus 6P or something. Probably will cost about the same with repair costs.


Plus the S8 is made mostly of glass and changing the battery is similar to doing open heart surgery. Don't want to have to deal with those issues in another 6 months.

If battery life is a concern, you may want to stay away from the 6P. I've only heard negatives about the battery life after about 6 months to a year.
