No insurance because I bought it unlocked through Straight Talk


Pretty sure I short-circuited the inside so I'm guessing cost to repair is going to suck.


Think I might just get the Nexus 6P or something. Probably will cost about the same with repair costs.


Plus the S8 is made mostly of glass and changing the battery is similar to doing open heart surgery. Don't want to have to deal with those issues in another 6 months.

most places will diagnose repairs for free, and generally repairs are a lot cheaper than buying a new unlocked phone, but I've been out of the business for a bit so I'm not completely sure on what S8 parts cost

Samsung's design choice to just make everything out of curved glass makes them a bitch to work on, though
