People are usually their own worst critics, wouldn't you say? It is hard to evaluate one's own looks, though. It easy to focus on the flaws or perceived flaws.

Its so sad, I wish we could all be more confident.
I know I was an awkward looking kid and people made fun of me for wearing glasses. That stuck with me. I am the worst at taking compliments. I'd like to feel that Im getting better but its hard to actually believe people when they say nice things.

If it's someone I know I'll usually tell them I smile when I feel the need, otherwise they get a weird grimace full of teeth. If it's someone I don't know I just make a noise that doesn't really mean anything but people seem to take for agreement 90% of the time. I like saving my smiles/laughs for when I'm legit amused/happy otherwise it's just garbage.
