The hoard feature* is not mTurk, that's a... can't think of the word I keep trying to say mod... doing that. It's possible that you're triggering it by filling your queue that way. Maybe try filling your queue with something slower (pc maybe?) and see if you still get PREs with every hit.


*Unless you mean you just open the panda and manually f5 till your queue is full.

that is pretty much it....as far as I recall...you could always load 25 hits but you had to take them one at a time...panda just makes it auto...anyway...I would hope they figure it out. It does not make sense to slow us down

So I'm doing 5s to pass the time. Been diligently working on them.

Refresh my dashboard to see how many I have done. Which turns out to be about 1/3 of what it *feels* like I've done and these are darn easy 5s!

nope..I just started learning about it yesterday...I listened to a long talk about it this am and throttling was a big part of the what was being discussed

Its the first step towards having an internet policy like Chinas where they censor what you can talk about, what websites you can visit and how you can use the internet. It wont be that dramatic at first but thats the eventual outcome. It starts with them having faster lanes for certain websites they deem "appropriate" but later down the line they become the thought/information police.

Pros: ISPs eventually will be able to ban racist trolls and they will lose the ability to comment on websites like reddit and youtube.
Cons: Censorship and the outright destruction of freedom of speech on the net.

I think I'm just confused about what you're actually saying but the only way to get rid of PREs is to go slower regardless of how hits are going into your queue.

Not sure if this is what is causing your throttling, but when I run the "go Ham" feature in Panda Crazy and it accepts hits really fast for me (or looks for hits really fast), I'm then throttled for a little while after that.

It seems the throttling kicks in for me after a brief period of rapid work/sending a request to mturk, and doesn't slow down until I've slowed down for an undetermined period of time.

So maybe setting PC to accept the hits at right about the pace you're working on them would eliminated the throttling? I'm doing 5s pretty fast with a few pandas running and I have no PREs at all.
