The Barreleye Fish, also called the Spook Fish, also called the weirdest freaking animal in the entire world, gets its name from its barrel-shaped green eyes, that look up straight THROUGH ITS TRANSPARENT HEAD WTF. Yes, it has a transparent head, it's thought this fish steals food from jellies and by having its eyes under a clear dome, they're protected from stings. But you might say, wait, if the green things are its eyes what are the little white things in the front that look like sad eyes? Those aren't eyes you dummy! Those are nostrils. That mouth however, is just a regular mouth. Oh and also it can turn its tubular eyes forward to see in front when feeding.
What a freaky little fish.
