That's how the Loma Prieta quake was for me. Like whole bookcases and stuff just toppled over, dishes flew out of the cupboards, and we had this chandelier in the dining room that dented the ceiling from swinging so hard.
The real tragedy was the Giants losing the World Series tho.

I'm looking under Export Settings and I don't see that option. I had "Enable Mturk Crowd Export" checked, and only that.
Click on "Advanced Settings" and there should be an option to "Enable Forum Export." If the "Forum" option doesn't show up in the exports after that, I'm not sure what's wrong.

So, I've got that memory and speed HIT sitting in my queue. I'm going to need a pep talk if I'm even going to touch it. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
You got this!

Best I can come up with. My brain is fried.

I completely understand. If we were to experience a freak tornado in a populated area we'd be absolutely f**ked. I would guess that less than 1% of residences in California even have basements. Even light rain results in people acting like its a natural disaster down here in San Diego... Seriously, I couldn't even image how catastrophic a light dusting of snow would be in a city like San Diego or Los Angeles!

There's nothing quite as terrifying as the experience of working in my chemistry lab, on the top floor of our building, surrounded by 100's of bottles of chemicals that can melt my skin off, when an earthquake strikes. Have experienced that a few times... but we have annual evaluations to ensure that all of our facilities and equipment are seismically secured.
Seriously though...when it sprinkles it's suddenly "Storm Watch 8000" on every news channel with them interviewing people about how much trauma they've suffered due to the "rain". People start driving like lunatics and run for cover as if the water will make their skin melt. It's pretty hilarious. I always think everyone from around the country is laughing their asses off at us!

Wow, chemistry lab and earthquakes? Terrifying!

Seriously! I'm originally from a rainier, overcast part of Northern California, so when I moved to Southern California it blew my mind how drivers responded to the rain. It was one of of 2 things:
1) Slow down and drive 75% slower that then posted speed limit, even during a light mist.
2) Speed up to terrifyingly fast speeds, change lanes rapidly & frequently, and drive with your front bumper 1-2 inches away from the car in front of yours.

I have none of their HITs

Slow Down!
It looks like you already have tasks assigned. Please complete those tasks first before taking more work. This allows us to more equitably distribute tasks to our workers. If you don't have access to your previously assigned tasks, do not worry. Those tasks will be automatically abandoned after thirty minutes, so please check in then. Thanks for your cooperation!
