I see

it's easy to get overwhelmed when downloading a lot at once, or setting up a lot at once.

I'll tell you what I do, and I'll tell you from a perspective of only one monitor/screen, since that's how I do breakfast

I use the chrome browser, usually. I use the mturk suite extension. ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mturk-suite/iglbakfobmoijpbigmlfklckogbefnlf )

I use several tabs

In tab 1, I use panda crazy. I try not to run more than 8 things at once, because 8 seconds between checking a hit is already a long time (since it rotates to each search, each second)

In tab 2, I use hitfinder. I have a scan delay of 3, a min reward of 0 (to see what there is), a min TO of 2.74 (adjust to your own preferences) a size of 30 (default?) and sorted by 'latest'. I leave hitfinder running. it scans every three seconds and any new hits that have been published will show up.
I'll have the option of ACCEPTING a task right from hitfinder, and if I end up not catching it, I can then throw it into pandacrazy

I use very few scripts, because even though each one might have a use, having too many will slow down your browser.

In tab 3, will be the task that I'm doing at the moment. Sometimes I'll have several tasks, and using your bookmark toolbar to place shortcuts is very helpful.
