Hi Everyone!
Bude57 here and didn't want to post anything until I was sure that Turking was something I could and wanted to do. Well I'm on my 8th day and just completed my 100th HIT. I know it isn't a heck of a lot. But, I didn't do but 10 a day to start. Then I read the marvelous "Your first 1000 hits" forum post and found it excellant and very informative. Also read a few more forum articles here with some great insight on how to do this.
I've also been mighty lucky for my first 100, as I haven't had 1 rejection yet. (I'm sure I'll do some belly-aching once I do), but right now, things are good. I will pretty much try to pick up my pace (though cautiously), because I really wanted to find a work-from-home job.
I'd suffered a stroke back in March 2016, lost my job, then had to have a major surgery on my neck. I collected unemployment for 6 months not knowing it would run out (I'm in Northern Ohio). I'm now 60 years old and can't do a lot of what I used to. Plus I hate the snow and don't want to go out into it...lol.
I knew there had to be a way to make money in a work-from-home way, and after a month searching...I stumbled on MTurk. I was skeptical at first...as I'm sure you all were. But after hitting this Forum and seeing the wonderful people here....I knew I stumbled across a good thing.
I've only made about $40.00 in my first few days here....and I really hope to make enough so I can survive (rent, bills...etc). But, I know that after 1000 accepted hits that things may get better.
If I've learned one thing on this quest for 1000 hits, it's that my life seems to be better, "I'm working"! It gets me up eager at the start of the day, I grab a coffee, look out at that snow....shake my head...and go right to work. (doing surveys mostly...gotta pay some bill or two.) But my self-worth is feeling much better.
That's pretty much it. I have no questions at the moment....just wanted to thank everyone that runs and belongs to this forum. Your very existence gives an older gentleman pride in what he is now doing.
I just hope it all pays off! For everyone!
Thanks for reading....and God Bless
