I have one panda on and my PREs just went up to 60. HF is not on. Why would that happen?

I have seen neither Star Wars nor Firefly. With SW I guess I'm just not really that much of a movie person, everything always feels too short. And I feel like I probably would have watched Firefly if I had been born like 3 years earlier. It just barely messed me and I wasn't interested in that stuff at the time. Might backtrack to it eventually.
