Does anyone know how to automatically open a hyperlink in a new tab through a script?

Will definitely get the link to open but it may be in a new window or a new tab. If you must have it in a tab the code gets a little bit more complicated and its going to be easier for you to just change the default setting in your browser.

Worked fine for me. Try closing and reopening it. I've had weird issues lately with qualtrics surveys sometimes opening missing a lot of stuff (blank background, no logos, missing slider bars) and a reload usually fixes it.

worked for me in Chrome on Mac...

sliders were weird though and you had to repeat the example questions to move on which was odd....
