Hi guys:
Well, it finally happened after doing 724 jobs! My first REJECTION. Uggh. Anyways, I'd love to thank the MTurk Crowd for the articles I've read here explaining what I can try to get it reversed. I have no answer yet from the Rejector Seth Hall.
Has anyone else ever gotten a rejection from this person? I don't even know what I did to get it? I try to carefully monitor every job I do and read everything they want me to read to do it, but I guess it just happens sometimes. And Yes, the first rejection really stings. I thought I'd reach 0 rejections til I reach my 1000th job, but alas....nope.
But, just wanted to thank this forum on ideas on how to do the job, deal with the rejection, and to continue with the jobs. I really appreciate everyone on this board.....thank you so much!

I think that is not so bad at all. If I am not utterly confused, there is no need from a practical standpoint to be higher than 99%, since I don't think any higher rating can be requested (but correct me if I'm wrong). Some requesters are deceptive, and some make technical errors, and sometimes you just screw up for all sorts of reasons, even if you are trying to do your best and complete the hit properly. Rejections can most definitely be reversed, and I've had my reversal rate increase as I've gotten better at mturk. I think that worrying too much about rejections can be a hindrance, so long as you are continually trying to learn and to do the hits properly.

Thanks Achillles2357!
Yep, you're right...99% is the best anyone can request...so I'm still there, and I've asked once for a reversal from him, but I'm not gonna bug him. I''m shocked that it took 700 some hits to get my first rejection (since I do so many different things on MTurk-as we all do), It was just a bother that I thought I'd just throw out there. Have a Great day!

Requesters CAN use "greater than 99%" which means only a perfect 100% with zero rejections ever, but it's very rare to see and usually a mistake in their HIT design.

At least you got it early.

No rejections is a curse
