You probably won't. I think you have to specifically set up a thing to get those alerts... they certainly don't do it by default.

There are 2 ways to do it that are pretty effective.

1) You can have people PM you their worker IDs and then you can assign them the qual from your requester dashboard thing.
2) You can set up a Qual HIT and have people do that, then assign them the qual.

The first one is cheaper, the second one is a little bit easier.
