Return the hit that says there is no more work. It should let you go right back in. It's happened to me 4 times this batch.

I was trying this today for the first time with C-Sats and didn't catch anything, but I am pretty sure the second number was the amount of the different batches they posted. The number seemed to be consistent with the amount of hits I saw coming across hitforker
The requester search isn't fast especially with c-sats because they put out a few different group id's at a time with a few hits for each one. Because of this it's more about luck. People who are fast enough to get a panda hit running will probably get more than a search job. Search jobs work best for requesters who put out 1 or 2 batches per day which changes every day.

The second number isn't straight forward. It's the number of times the script finds a hit from the requester either from the first drop, someone returned or it stays up long enough that it forgets the group id. It is supposed to remember the first 12 unique group id's and only count the unique ones. Not sure it's quite doing it correctly but it's close enough for the majority of search jobs.

Keep the laptop over near the new joint. Run 3 monitors, 2 PCs. That's ideal.:D

Then you have a separate PC for annoying stuff, like Inquisit. I also use one PC for working HITs, and one for searching HITs.:)
When you say PC do you mean computer or monitor? I was a bit uncertain about logging into mturk on more than 1 computer.

I occasionally use my windows PC for inquisit, while still logged in on my primary turk pc, which is OSX. I also do some HITs which require a mobile device, so I sign in on my iPhone, or iPad, while still signed in on the PC. As long as you're not using VPNs, or trying to scam requesters, to my knowledge there is no issue with multiple devices logged into Mturk/amazon, etc.
