That, and it also just feels sketchy to be asking workers to do this. If anything, it should be the requester who is being asked to help with funding/paying for the Turkcheck service, not the workers.

While I can understand that sentiment, I might also wonder that they didn't have a research grant allocated to that, and that this would be purely for the benefit of the requester.

for example, if they posted their instagc.com referral, which does pay out in cash, and stated that it is to help pay for minor costs associated with the task.. I would never have any way of knowing it wasn't pure selfishness, taking advantage of exposure/traffic. regardless of their message.

it might be better if the turkcheck page that gives the completion code had a simple sentence/link that said something like "get paid to help reduce costs of turkprime so that requesters can pass on those savings in their future surveys!"
just a sentence, and a link, to a webpage hosted on turkprime's site, with their referral links

When we looked into this in the past, it's not coming from the requester at all. The referral links are inserted by the TurkCheck company which is a tool the requester is using. The referral link money/perks aren't going to the requester.
