If you don't mind @CrazyCatLady can you let us know what it's like after using it a few days? I am considering something new here. I don't think my 20 odd year old Kirby is really that good at hardwood floors.

Who am I kidding, my 20+ year old Kirby is amazing at vacuuming, I just don't have superman strength to drag it around up and downstairs.

Yes, I will! It's a Shark Rocket. Right now I am loving it. It's a BIT top heavy, but so light compared to the Hoover I had before. My lack of strength is why I was wanting a new one. I'll give you a better review in a few days. We shall see how it deals with a crazy 5 year old and fur from two cats and a dog lol.
