In that forbidden word it means someone who's sitting in for an election when there's a problem finding a candidate like if there was a council seat open but the party hadn't found someone to fill it yet, they put in someone to be a "placeholder." That's the only real world place I've seen it used.

How about the use of the word with regard to that HIT, tho?

Well, I reused it the exact moment I took the bacon out of the pan. I didn't save it I poured half of it out to cool and later be thrown away, then used the rest to fry up the potatoes and onions (I added french cut green beans at the end). It wasn't as fatty as it sounds as I had only cooked 6 pieces of bacon. But damn was it a yummy meal and made a great lunch today!! I think it tasted better the second day.

Last time I baked bacon, my brother in law got an old apple juice jug I had and poured the grease into that.
I was like uh..what. LOL

twisty bacon! i usually start it at a mid temp, like 320 or so to render it.
then turn up the temp to crisp it.
