Yay! That $16 HIT I was worried about and the Pivotal HIT both approved. I love it when you've already accepted a rejection was coming, then it doesn't.

I've been posting Pivotal's hits for a while. I think that as long as you meet their preliminary requirements, they'll approve you under the new format. However, you don't get access to the "full payment" hit unless you pass all the screeners and successfully complete the hit; I verify the completion codes for everyone who completes it with the "successful" code (it's different for each ending scenario, and different for each hit I think) when I run the scripts to send out the invites to the full payment survey.

Glad to see people actually doing them They're having a hard time finding workers, I think because their TO is jacked from when they first started, and they're looking for specific people.

I think part of the problem is that people don't realize that you don't have to be whatever they are asking for. I think people see, real quick, "VP or department head" and don't accept or kick it back, not realizing that you are supposed to adopt the persona for the length of the study.

I've never actually looked at their surveys lol, but I wouldn't doubt it. I've gotten some interesting hate mail since I started posting hits for them. They had me cc'd on all their incoming messages at one point. I loved this gem:

I want to report this to your IRB And I want payment for contacting you

That person was fun. It's nice only being tangentally related to the company, I can be a little less polite and pretty much told that dude "Good luck". He also said I personally would be hearing from his lawyers...Over a $5 hit. Ya ok buddy, serve me papers, I'd love to go to court over that bs and watch you get laughed out of the courtroom.

I can't understand why people raise their stress level so high, over $5, lol. Take a breath and chill. I don't flip out if I drop a $5 bill every now and then. People don't really grasp that you are in control. Nobody forces you to do ANYTHING in mturk. There's a 'return HIT' button AND a power button on the pc. Turking can suck, without stressing yourself out.
