Wow, I accepted an ocmp75 taxi because curiosity. The conversation began on wednesday, and the taxi booking is actually complete... lol what do I do? Should I submit it? (I mean I know I shouldn't but...)

I didn't realize they could get more messed up.

That's not really "messed up". With how the system is, it has to carry over chat so the next agent can see what was said. I'm sure what happened in that situation was that on the last step, the person forgot about it in their queue and it expired (I had this happen to me on a couple.)

I thought so but digitalnomads post above makes me think otherwise, i submitted the 5$ first before catching the german thing on the 2nd hit, his hits go the full auto approve time anyhow (30 days in this case) so if its not english native we might luck out, who knows

yep, I had it pegged I could get 300 easy the way they werent moving and they just got shelled. hey I know the forum is here to help everybody and everything but what are the thoughts of sites like MTURK+ that simple skim off of the forum?

IMO I try not to get too worked up about people sharing batches cause' "heeeeyyy we're a forum and helping's what we do" which is cool and we all know we've needed it at some point in our turking careers.


But in the end the people that solely rely on forums to find hits are only hurting themselves. 9 times out of 10 there is decent work to be found on mturk but people are lazy and don't want to look for it.

I think in the end it helps way more than it hurts. For every batch that goes quickly or HITs that get snapped up right away there's also a ton of other ones I would've never found out without the forum.
Maybe it could hurt the very experienced turkers who know what they're doing and how to find good work, but if they're very experienced then they also probably have steady work to do, closed quals, etc.

And besides, it could never be helped really. If you had a forum where people kept things close to their vest and HITs weren't widely shared, people would just bolt and go to another one and make more money there and the end result would be the same.
