A bird can dream though! It def had an impact on me either way. My dad used to ground me for getting anything less than an A. I once got a B in an AP class and had a full meltdown because of it. I was terrified to even tell him when I didn't get the best grade or when I was only 2nd doubles on varisty tennis cause he was so strict. He still makes fun of me to this day,
very publicly, for not being as athletic as the rest of the family
cause he's a barrel of laughs. Then, I went to college and had a semester where I got 7 A's and an F (still the only class I've failed and I find it funny to this day) and my dad still tried to ground me, despite the fact I never lived at home again. I didn't even come home for spring break. I laughed it off after the shock pretty well because the class I booched had no bearing on my career and my gpa was still peachy for my scholarships and whatever. I'm only about half as high strung now as I was at 18, that's for sure.
Plus. Matt tries to make me more
fun and
relaxed. I think it works 10% of the time.
