I prefer dark screens to help with eye strain. Love the Darkly theme for MTS. But here I have to use Delta Dark because there isn't enough contrast between the text and background in Quark.
Youtube app just got a dark theme, loving it so far. I got a popup after the latest IOS update asking me if I wanted it on.

The one thing that drives me nuts is that I fiddle with my Dell 2412 monitor's brightness & contrast every single day. Wish I could get a fix on that. I never know if I'm needlessly straining my eyes. Tried calibrating but didn't work well for me.

I tried Darkly the other day when I was switching up MTC themes too. I wanted to use it because I'd prefer a dark turk but it didn't do the colours right for the other stuff on turk so I had to go back to normal for now.

What are these bathturk hits all about? Do I have to be in the bath describing what I'm doing?

Because I'm ok with that.

I love it. It even turns Hit Monitor dark for me! The only issue is that some hits in iframes get turned to black as well and you can't read the text so for those I have to go back to the default. Totally worth it.

I wanna get some of those eye strain computer glasses. I don't even bother with my monitor's brightness and all that. My windows face the full on sunset side so for this time of day it's almost like I'm working outside in the bright sunlight, then at night I like the lights low so I run the gamut most every day of light conditions.

Just tried PC dark theme & made me nauseous.
It's not a true dark theme. More of the green/blue thing. I just keep it behind the other stuff in it's own window in the light theme with the dark queue peeking out.

Spent a couple hundred getting a pair of prescription glasses & haven't worn them since picking them up. They're in a cabinet drawer.

Do the dark screens help with eyestrain or do you just prefer them?
For me, yes. I've become more light-sensitive in the past year, and get migraines more frequently. Switching to dark themes on everything for my Macbook, using Stylish for everything web based, has been a huge help! Flux has been a favorite of mine for years. I don't get much direct sunlight in my office, but Hue lights with flux capability, combined with Flux for the macbook, and dark themes/Stylish, things are literally and figuratively night and day for me now. I rarely get migraines or have eye strain while turking now, or using my macbook at all.

I use a 37" Vizio tv for a monitor, and have a single lamp with a Hue bulb in the room, connected to Flux on my macbook.

it reminds me of the high contrast setting someone that definitely wasn't me got their computer stuck on for a couple days a long time ago.
