We call both my Uncle Pat & my grandma 'Patty.' Neither has ever objected.

Ymmv obvs though. Everyone has different nickname preferences I'd assume. We also have Bunny, Birdie, and Kitty, (Margarita, Polly, Les, etc) so everyone just kinda has at a nickname/name of their choice at some point.
