Hey guys. I have like 20 bucks for like 10 days for food. I have some rice, but what are some good things I can add to the rice? Like condiments, veggies, etc?

I don't know what goes good with rice but eggs and bread for egg sandwiches is pretty cheap.

Beans are great. I can get chicken leg quarters for 40 centa a pound, making 10 pounds 4$, that can last you. Do you have any kind of pantry to work with and make gravy etc...

EDIT: Oh and potatoes, I can get them .29 cents a pound at Kwik Star. Not certain where you are. But a baked potato is pretty filling and the gas station usually has butter in the condiment section. in fact, don't pay for condiments at all. Buy a drink and get some creamer, catsup, etc...use those pockets.

Where do you get chicken for that price?

I've never thought about using condiments from the gas station. How clever if you're on a budget!
Thanks for sharing. Sticking it away.

At my poorest times I have been known to buy something cheap to get a pocket full of condiments for my kids. I was a mom living in a shelter. I didn't feel right taking them, but if I purchased a coffee or something etc...Sometimes life requires creativity and sucking up your pride. I would also suggest downloading an app for every chain gas station and fast food near you. I don't eat at them usually, but I have scored free sandwiches and drinks etc...

I second the gas station rewards. 7-Eleven especially has very good rewards.

Reminds me of a scene in the 30 Seconds to Mars Hurricane video.

The Little Caesar's app gives you five bucks off the first order you make in their app.
