I've been trying to convince my mom to get a puppy for awhile now. She's retired, and lives by herself. She's worried that no one will take care of it if she goes travelling. I offered to take care of it, but apparently she doesn't trust me.

I was invited on vacation with free travel and stay and had to turn it down because of my puppy. He's too young and I don't trust him with anybody (well, also didn't know if I could afford taking that many days off right now from working). They just left for the vacation today, sigh.
