A large number of HITs (especially surveys) require you live in the US, or sometimes other English speaking countries. It's unfortunate, but there is significantly less work available for those in other countries. Your goal should be to find the best work available to you and to make that work as efficient as possible -- while always being on the lookout for better paying HITs.

I think @TSolo315 is referring to HITs requiring workers have an American account, with your location being US in your MTurk qualifications. A worker with an American account being in another country is different than a non-US worker being in another country.

I was just trying to find something to make for dinner tonight because I don't want what I originally had planned.

And you just gave me my new dinner plan (kind of, it's not "alfredo" but "sour cream" that I use on fettuccine. I used to buy this pre-made in a grocery store: fettuccine mixed with a sour cream/garlic sauce with steamed peas stirred in. Very good if you like sour cream! I also add a little lemon juice/zest and green onions.)
