You know, I hear all the criticisms of Dr. Pepper from people who don't like it. "It tastes like medicine", "It tastes like prune juice", "It tastes like prune-flavored medicine". And I agree. I can totally see that.

But I love it. It's the only soda I drink. If it's not available, I'd rather drink water. I can't really explain it because I can more or less detect the less favorable things about it that people don't like.

My wife drinks nothing but diet DP. - for 25 years now - nothing else - it's terrible when I'm parched on a long trip and there is nothing else. I just can't even handle a taste - but to each his/her own.

EDIT: The only reason I only drink Dr. Pepper is that I know it's poison, so if I'm gonna occasionally put poison in body I might as well really enjoy it. Otherwise, water.
