Probably less that the energy costs of the convoluted banking system we are currently using. Or the electricity used by Wall St to keep all of the fund managers betting on stocks, hedging their bets, and betting against themselves, while juggling an infinite amount of derivatives and shorts. We just have come to accept the status quo, regardless of whether or not it's a bloated resource 'black hole'.

Oh, I'm not suggesting that there aren't bigger wastes of energy or anything. Personally, I think all currency is kind of waste and wish there was some better alternative, but that's a discussion for another time and forum. I'm just curious because mining has become such a big thing and I can't even imagine how much power something like that draws on a world-wide scale.

Even just Bitcoin alone is pretty insane.

No, I hear you. I was just saying that I assume the cost of converting to full BTC would be less than stopping BTC and going back to Paper money only. It's just that we're in a halfway state with everything, which causes us to have to continue to support legacy systems and newer more efficient tech simultaneously. Like if we switched to only BTC, I'd like to see how all of the Energy bars would drop for each country if they got rid of all of the other garbage that came before.(Printing money, powering banks, etc.) The convenience store across from my house has 2 different CC scanners, a third for Food Stamp cards, and an ATM, and a cash register. That's all I meant.

You'd think that the purpose of reworking would be to allow a writer feedback and a way to improve their own work. Turns out that to one company it's a form of punishment.

8% reworks (not rejections, REWORKS) is grounds for banning from a project. Think about that. With the sheer number of morons doing editing and judging, it's basically up to RNG to determine if someone lives or dies in that project, now.

I think currency in the Federation is an outdated concept. Other races (Ferengis in particular) have currency (gold pressed latinum), but not them.
