Depends on where your bar is set. Back in the 90's, LSD and Rock Climbing were normal. I guess now, the kids would be doing salvia and jumping out windows. I'll take my "normal" any day of the week , over that.
Yeah. It was a mess. I flew up the first half. Then I lept for a handhold, seeing my route before I did. Then, when I caught the hold, I was at a different angle. So, the shadows that made me see the route I was taking had disappeared. I quivered for a bit, told my brother to get out of the way, if I fell, so that I didn't kill us both. Then, as I was losing my grip, adrenaline flooded my system and timed slowed way down. I took the longest breath ever and climbed. I don't remember that last half. I was on auto. Luckily, when I got to the top, some guys had a belay set up, so I didn't have to climb down. One of those stories you never forget.
