That's because it's pretty much the exact opposite of how we tend to roll around here.
I won't have one of those personal listening assistants in my house (the creep factor is way too high for me) and I don't have a Smart TV that "listens" for my commands either.
But I did just install the Ring Doorbell and now I'm suddenlyabout what that's collecting! Obviously when I come and go, but I don't care about that. Anyone can do that by just seeing when my car is or is not in the driveway, lol.
If my ISP is collecting info, I'm completely fucked due to all the hits I do for mturk that have me going to rando websites that I would never visit on my own.
