Uncheck "post jump" in the thread tools menu at the top of the page.

You can disable post jump from the thread tools at the top of the page and it will stop doing that.

Oh god, leave the option there but have the ability to uncheck it greyed out. That would have been awful

It's not in Preferences. It's in Thread Tools, which is at the top of the page, under the poll.

on these are you guys choosing bedroom pillowcase, because I say this is a decorative pillowcase that goes on a pillow for a couch and not in the bedroom, so I choose n/a

the only page source that is saved is the hit preview, which does include the survey link.
you can see most page's sources by holding CTRL and pushing U
if you copy/paste that text and save it as an html file,
you'll be able to see a copy of the page at any time, without any changes that were done to the live site.
in this specific case, if you click the survey link, the requester, depending on their survey settings, back office, etc, will be able to see number of attempts, and time of last attempt

additionally, if you have accessed it after say... cleaning out some cookies, you might not only be rewarded with a clean attempt when clicking the link, but you also might change the survey completion code
