I shed a tear when I think of how many current workers on MTurk don't know what "being Crowdflowered" means.

What does it mean?

8 minutes into the "Inquisit-esque" survey and showing 35% on the completion bar, I returned it.

I got to 40 percent and returned after another task popped up.

What does it mean?

The way they had their HITs set up, it always looked like there was work to do but when you accepted it, it often said there was no more. There was no way to tell if there was actually tasks to do unless you accepted it first. So you'd just have to periodically accept a HIT to check and see if there was any work to do and return it if they didn't have anything. Accepting it, being told there was nothing to work on, and returning it was called "getting Crowdflower'd".

Yes. Pins at least disappear pretty quickly. These HITs would sit there for hours or days or longer and periodically be refilled but you never knew when they'd actually have more work to do.
