Yeah, it was the only solution for me a few days back. The plus side, is I have yet to get a single PRE since reinstalling, and I still run at default timers. YMMV

I have to go pay a bill today. All morning I thought it was a bill I could pay through the drive thru. Nope...it's the cable bill. I have to go in.
Ugh. Make up and nice clothes on just to go in somewhere for 5 seconds.

One thing that I made to pay the cable bill less stressful is self-checkout. For years I go to the cable company and wait in line a half hour to an hour to pay the bill, than one day I discovered the self-checkout machine. As I was waiting in line with the rest of the people I noticed there was no one in the self-checkout machine line. So I decided to use it. After figuring out all I had to do was put my phone number/account number in and than use either cash or credit card to pay the bill I was out the door in 5 minutes.
The funny thing was even though people seen me do this and I told some people how easy this was and was the way to go now. They still waited in that long line.

Like they're offended at the mere suggestion that they should have to do something themselves. "I pay for these people's wages when I buy my groceries - why should I have to check myself out?" Like the bagger getting paid $7.25 an hour is trying to pull a Tom Sawyer on them.

I like self-checkout because I don't have to make eye contact with anyone when I buy five bags of Oreos at once. :thumbup:

I'm still sitting here like @Mecca I have only ever gone in to the cable companies office when it's a last resort. Our bill is on auto pay, and I log in to verify everything is fine a few days before the charge each month. I also don't have cable TV, but we only have one option for internet in our area, the cable company (rectum)

That self pay machine seems like a great time saver though!

I hate the typical comments I get for the odd combinations of things I buy. Like, of course I'm not planning to go home and eat the jar of pickles with all 5 bags of cereal I just bought...Also, it's just plain fun to play with the buttons and scanner thing some days
