Not quite, but I do want to say that most mass rejections end up okay (that's not to say any of us know what will happen in this situation - I'm just saying that most of the time this is okay. Things get cleared up). I was mass rejected during the 'great thanksgiving mass rejection' a few years ago - and, though it took a day or two - everything was reversed.

Send a polite email and find out what happened. It might even be possible to offer to redo/pay back the work (in exchange for the rejections to be reversed). I've heard of that, before. Let the requester know that this is your income - what it means (in real terms) to lose your ability to find work. If you made an honest mistake, own up to it and try to work with them. Let them know you care. Often it's just a matter of working with the requester to figure out a solution.

If the worst happens, and that's possible - as you know --- there ARE people who have climbed out of a terrible hole and gotten their approval rating back up. That will take time, but even that is very possible. You wouldn't be the first to do that (I promise!). It's just a matter of taking some pretty terrible hits and grinding away.

I hope it all works out. She has always been a good requester so maybe a polite email might fix things.
