The most common names in Wales are still John Jones, William Williams and David Davies. Women don;'t have the same tendency to have matching first and family names thank goodness.

That would make sense, considering Jones is a kind of Gopher job description and the other two are the names of kings. My ancestors also came from Wales and they were named Wethers, which is a shepherd and of course Weaver from Ireland. They came over here and married Indians.
