I've got 2 in my queue. I keep opening them
and closing them.

what do you do if you completed a hit but ran out of time?-didnt submit with mturkid

You can finish the HIT and contact the requester but be careful about submitting, maybe leave it open in a tab. This happened to me earlier and this was the requester's response:

I'm sorry but this experiment is time limited, and compensation cannot be made if it was not completed on time (I also cannot use the data).

Sorry for that
