I was wondering if anyone here uses the Google Project Fi phone service. I'm thinking of switching to it and was curious if anyone has any experience with it.

I've been on a few months, switched from Ting (Verizon towers). It's been decent service wise and about the same as Ting price wise but I don't need to watch data as much now. I used to live in a bad dead zone with Ting, now I get two bars all the time and 5 at the major intersection near me.

post coffee edit: I also traveled with it last Summer through CO, TX and OK and it got reception in lots of places where Ting left me without service. I'm not completely sure but I think they have a deal worked out to where it can tower hop on most of the major carriers.
